Ikanivere returns as Mick makes sweeping changes

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Head Coach Mick Byrne has implemented ten changes to the team for the upcoming encounter against the Brumbies this Saturday.

Tevita Ikanivere makes a return to the starting XV, resuming his role at hooker, joining stalwarts Haereiti Hetet at loosehead and Mesake Doge at tighthead prop.

The lock positions see Mesake Vocevoce paired with Isoa Nasilasila, while the backrow features Vilive Miramira at blindside, Kitione Salawa at openside, and captain Meli Derenalagi anchoring the scrum at number eight.

The backline remains dynamic with Peni Matawalu orchestrating the game at halfback alongside flyhalf Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula.

The wings will be manned by Taniela Rakuro and Junior Ratuva, with Michael Naitokani and Iosefo Masi teaming up in the centres.

Selestino Ravutaumada completes the lineup at fullback.

Bench strength is robust with Mesu Dolokoto, Livai Natave, and Samu Tawake covering the front row.

Leone Rotuisolia and young Motikiai Murray provide lock and flanker cover, respectively, while Simi Kuruvoli and Kemu Valetini offer backline support.

Ilaisa Droasese will be ready to step in for any backline shifts during the game.

The match is set to take place at GIO Stadium in Canberra, with kickoff scheduled for 9:35 PM Fiji time.
