New gold sponsor for Sukuna Bowl

Telecommunications giants, Vodafone Fiji were today announced as the gold sponsor for the 2023 Sukuna Bowl Challenge.

Acting chief executive, Elenoa Biukoto said the company is delighted to partner with the competition which has a rich 72-year history.

She said the partnership will allow the organisers of the event to prepare better for the annual competition which brings out the best from both teams.

In thanking Vodafone Fiji, Acting Police Commissioner, Juki Fong Chew said partnership is the way to go either in sports or fighting crime.

He said the Fiji Police Force being the host this year will ensure they prepare well and keep the prestigious tanoa in Nasova.

“We look forward to a great challenge and with Vodafone’s partnership, things will surely be organised in a bigger and better way.”

Deputy Commader for the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Commodore Humphrey Tawake said Sukuna Bowl is usually a family day for both Forces.
“We thank Vodafone for their support in Rugby Development in our country over the past years and we thank them for this commitment.”
He said they accept the challenge from Police and assured the opponents they will come all prepared on challenge day on 1 December in Nadi.
