PA’s complaint referred to CID

The complaint lodged by People’s Alliance Party General Secretary Sakiasi Ditoka at the Totogo Police Station yesterday has been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department.

While confirming this, Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said investigators are conducting their analysis before the next course of action is decided.

The complaint was lodged against FijiFirst General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum for making comments to incite racial hatred and violence.

According to Ditoka, Sayed-Khaiyum allegedly made comments at a press conference on Wednesday where he claimed some Indo-Fijian families in Ba were victims of violence this week.
