Pearls duo for Blaze in NSW Premier League

Fiji Pearls duo Reama Verekauta and Avelina Navue will feature for Blaze in the NSW Premier League regular season in Australia.

Netball Fiji chief executive Vivian Koster said the two players will be playing for Blaze in the NSW Premier League under the leadership of former Fiji Pearl (2003-2007) and Sydney Swift player Marji Parr.

“This will be a great opportunity for them where they’ll further develop in a different atmosphere.”

The two players will not only take the court for the Blaze but they will also be fully immersed in the club’s high-performance environment and other player development programs.

This immersion program is part of the PacificAus Sports Netball program, which is made possible by the Australian Government (DFAT) and Netball Australia.

Blaze Netball Team is based in Wollongong and Verekauta and Navue will be occupied with the team for one month.
