2022 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Taniela Rainibogi will be Fiji’s flag bearer at the 2023 Pacific Games Opening Ceremony in the Solomon Islands on Sunday.
Team Fiji Chef de Mission Ajay Ballu revealed they had received five nominations for Flag Bearer from National Federations and athletes.
Ballu said the weightlifter is an exceptional athlete who has represented Fiji in regional and international weightlifting competitions and has medalled in a number of championships as well.
Meanwhile, Fiji will begin competitions tomorrow in the sport of Football, Basketball, Table Tennis and Tennis.
