Tariq joins Storm

Former Fiji Bati Tariq Sims will don the purple jersey for the Melbourne Storm in 2023.

Sims who has racked up a 221 National Rugby League games career will be a hot favourite to shore up the Storm second row in tight edges.

Sim’s aggressiveness from his Fiji Bati days will also be a strong bank with some of his younger comrades.

“I know the blokes down here are very aggressive naturally, so I am hoping to learn from them as well, it’s a two-way street,” Sims told Melbourne Storm media.

“I think being around those young blokes definitely puts a shot of youth in you and that excitement to train and be physical with those bigger boys is always a challenge and I love challenges.”

Sims comes in place of Felise Kaufusi and Kenny Bromwich who have signed with new franchise the Redcliffe Dolphins.
