Silktails eye warm-up matches ahead of season

The Kaiviti Silktails is looking at securing warm-up matches next month ahead of the 2023 Ron Massey Cup kick-off in March.

Silktails Head Coach Wes Naiqama said they are trying to make arrangements with an Australian A team to play at Churchill Park in Lautoka on 25 February.

Naiqama said the warm-up match will help the players prepare for this year’s competition, and at the same time, help the newbies feel the Rugby League atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the Silktail players are currently in camp and their daily training is held at the Natabua High School Ground in Lautoka.

Silktails will begin their Ron Massey Cup campaign against Penrith Brothers RMC on March 19.
