A huge effort from Olympian Sireli Maqala helped Bayonne beat Lou Rugby 19-7 in the French Top 14 Competition at Stade Jean Dauger this morning.
Maqala commanded in midfield leading his side to a fifth consecutive victory at home.
Bayonne led 10-7 at half-time with fullback Martin Bogado scoring in the fifth minute finishing off a break from Maqala with pivot Camille Lopez adding the conversion and a drop goal.
Lou kept in close reply with a try from blindside wing Ethan Dumortier which number 10 Leo Berdeu converted.
The Basque sealed the win with another drop goal and two penalties from Lopez in the second half.
