Drua present i-Tatau ahead of new season

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua team presented their i-Tatau to President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere at the State House to start off their 2024 Super Rugby Pacific campaign.

The ceremony was attended by the Drua’s players, management, and officials.

In his address, the president commended the team for their achievements in the preceding season, the unity amongst the players and the elevated rugby standards they brought to Fiji.

He advised the players to adhere to their coaching staff’s guidance, emphasizing teamwork and collective effort as their formula for success.

The President’s message to the team was one of motivation and national pride:

“Give your utmost, train rigorously, and have faith, for God will reward your dedication. On behalf of my wife, myself, and the entire nation of Fiji, I wish you all the best for the season ahead. Go out there, enjoy the game, and make Fiji proud.”

The Fijian Drua is set to face the Melbourne Rebels in a pre-season match on February 16th, before officially commencing their season against the Auckland Blues on February 24th.
