Tabuya to remain Women Minister: Rabuka

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says Lynda Tabuya will remain the Minister of Women, Children, and Social Protection despite the People Alliance Party removing her as its Deputy Party Leader.

Speaking to the media outside Parliament, Rabuka said that the Party has already deliberated on the allegations made officially but no evidence was presented.

Rabuka said in the court system, decisions are only based on evidence and not on allegations and that is how he is looking at this case.

“I will be the judge. No official report has been made to me as the Prime Minister,”  he said.

He said that he will not rely on the deliberation of the Party’s Disciplinary Committee on the matter.
