Act or we will, Seruiratu tells PM

The Leader of Opposition Inia Seruiratu says the Opposition will act to remove Lynda Tabuya as the Minister for Women if Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka does not.

Speaking to the media on the actions to remove Tabuya based on the People’s Alliance removing her as Deputy Party Leader based on allegations of misconduct, Seruiratu said Parliament also has the option to do something about it.

He says this is also being considered by the Opposition Chambers.

Seruitatu called on the Prime Minister to act, demanding his leadership.

Seruiratu said everything raises and falls on leadership.

“It is on the shoulders of the Prime Minister to make that tough decision if there is a need to do so, based on the allegation and the evidence presented to him.”

“The bottom line is that the Prime Minister must act,” he said.

The Minister for Women and Children has remained tight-lipped on the matter.
