Fiji FA anticipates big crowd

Fiji Football Association chief executive Mohammed Yusuf says they are expecting a big crowd for the host nation’s opening match of the OFC U17 Championship against Samoa in Suva tonight.

Yusuf is urging football lovers and players’ families to come out in numbers and support the Baby Bula Boys as they play their first-ever international match on home soil.

“We wish the Baby Bula Boys all the best,” Yusuf said.

“The coaches have been working hard in the last couple of months to set up this team.”

“The boys have been in camp preparing for this and they need support from the Fijians. My message is to please show your support to this young team and I’m sure they will give in their best.”

“We hope to see a huge crowd at the HFC Bank Stadium. We have a lot of Fijians who are passionate about football and I’m sure they will also show their love and support toward these young boys.”

“We expect a thriller performance in today’s match and we encourage the fans to lift the spirit of these players with their support.”

Fiji will kick off its OFC campaign against Samoa at 7pm.
