Opposition Member of Parliament, Parveen Bala says the Coalition Government has shown itself to be an arrogant, irresponsible, and entitled group of people in the last 14 months.
While responding to the Presidential address in Parliament, Bala said the actions and policies of the Coalition Government have not been exemplary, to say the least when it comes to democratic representation of the Fijian people.
Bala said he is duty bound to expose the failures of Government and governance without fear or favour when representatives of this Coalition Government are acting in an irresponsible manner and in ways that destroy rather than build the nation.
He said that His Excellency the President called on Members of Parliament to consider sentiments expressed by all Fijians and bring their concerns to Parliament.
Bala questioned how many MPs in the Coalition would follow the President’s word and follow the true path of democratic representation of our people and urged all MPs to heed the President’s call.
