The Royal Navy 7s are the furthest travelled competitors and will compete against elite teams such as the New Zealand 7s, Dominion Brothers, Fire, Fiji Police and Army.

Five Fiji-born service personnel, two players, two coaching staff and one photographer are part of the team.

Bolaca after the team’s final training session at Albert Park in Suva yesterday said, “Training with the team, I think they are in a good position but our I see our biggest competitor being the Fijian Police Team.”

Petty Officer Marine Engineer Kalisiana Koroi Junior who was raised in Suva and attended
Natabua High School and Ratu Kadavulevu School before heading to the United Kingdom to join the Royal Navy said, “I am honoured to serve in the Royal Navy and I love my job but I love rugby even more and it’s great that I can join the team and head back to Fiji to compete in the Fiji Bitter Marist competition.”

The team is coached by Silivenusi Buinimasi, a former Suva rugby rep.
