Burst pipe causes low pressure, intermittent supply: WAF

The Water Authority of Fiji is advising its customers living in parts of the Nadera area that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent water supply at times from now until further notice.

This is due to a burst main situated on the left-hand side of Ratu Dovi Road in Nadera.

The affected areas include parts of Ratu Dovi Road from Nepani Road junction to Kinoya Road Junction, Reba Circle, Kuluvotu Road, Visako Circle, Soqe Road, Kabote Circle, KSTP Waste Water, Rishkul Primary School, Nepani Subdivision, Nadawa Subdivision, Mandir Street, Maqbool Road, Makosoi Road, Qarase Road, Nasilivata Road, Church Street, Veiraisi Settlement, Kilikali Settlement and the United Apparel Garment Factory.

In a statement, the Water Authority of Fiji said the interruption in supply allows for urgent maintenance on the burst main.

WAF is calling on its customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.

WAF said water carting trucks are on standby to service the areas as and when the need arises.

WAF says for water carting requests, members of the public are to contact the WAF National Call Centre at 3346777 or shortcode 5777.
