Fijiana claim 7th place in Cape Town

The Fijiana 7s team ended its campaign in Cape Town 7s in seventh place after beating Canada 26-12.

The Fijiana finished the match in style running in well worked tries and end the tournament with a win.

Reapi Uluinasau scored first for the islanders with two tries both converted by Lavena Cavuru.

The Canadians closed the gap to seven points by half-time with a try to playmaker Olivia Apps who also converted.

They also began the second half strong with another try through winger Shalaya Valenzuela to take a lead.

But that was short lived, as the Fijiana ran in two more tries through Ana Maria Naimasi and scoring ace Alowesi Nakoci with Cavuru adding another conversion to claim the win.
