Fiji’s President, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere today met with Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock at the State House.
Ratu Wiliame congratulated the German delegations on the recent opening of its embassy in Suva.
During their meeting, President Katonivere discussed Fiji’s promotion of the Ocean of Peace, a resource-sharing program that safeguards the environment, food security, happiness, and water security.
The head of state also acknowledged the ongoing support provided by Germany through the International Climate Initiative and its role in UN peacekeeping.
Also present at the meeting was the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Fiji, Dr. Andreas Prothmann with the Ministerial Director, Head of the Dept for Asia and the Pacific, Petra Sigmund.
