FRU hunts for new chief executive

The Fiji Rugby Football Union Trust Board has advertised the position of Fiji Rugby’s next chief executive.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing and delivering the strategic, commercial, operational, and financial objectives of Fiji Rugby.

The CEO will provide vision and leadership to rugby in Fiji and represent Fiji Rugby with distinction as a member of the international rugby community.

He/she will be responsible for representing and enhancing the Fiji Rugby brand in the region as well as on the international stage and will provide strong leadership of the organisation and continually reinforce the vision and mission of Fiji Rugby whilst ensuring that the strategic goals and objectives of the organisation are always achieved.

The appointee will also develop strong relationships with major funding partners to identify and maximize opportunities for Fiji Rugby as well as building collaborative relationships with World Rugby, Oceania Rugby, Government of Fiji, The Fiji Sports Commission and other International Rugby nations to ensure that Fiji Rugby is valued and respected on the world stage.

Applicants must be a Fijian passport holder (currently residing in Fiji or living overseas) and must have a degree in business, sports management, finance; marketing or other relevant qualification is required with minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a senior executive / leadership position in a medium to large size organisation.

Applications close on Monday 26 February 2024 and Global Elite Sports have been contracted exclusively on behalf of Fiji Rugby to undertake the recruitment for this appointment.
