Karan reflects on triumphant 2023

Tavua’s Golden Boy, Yeshnil Karan says 2023 was challenging yet rewarding and he is stepping into the New Year with ambitious goals.

Reflecting on his rigorous training regimen in Australia, Karan emphasized the importance of dedication and focus.

“Every training workout was crucial. I didn’t waste a single second, as it could impact my target for what I wanted to achieve in 2023,” he shared.

Karan’s hard work paid off spectacularly as he clinched three gold medals at the 2023 Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands last month, a first in his athletic career.

“Winning these medals was a memorable moment in my life and career. Being selected as Fiji’s flag bearer was also a great opportunity,”

“For all these achievements, I sacrificed a lot. It’s not easy being away from family,”

“My target is to move to the next level with my trainings in 2024,” he said, indicating his readiness to embrace new challenges in the upcoming year.
