Karan secures third gold medal in Pac Games

Yeshnil Karan secured his third gold medal at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara, Solomon Islands by triumphing in the 3000 meters steeplechase.

The 22-year-old Yaladro native from Tavua clocked just over 9 minutes and 18 seconds and fell only 11 seconds short of the games record.

His training partner, 18-year-old Evueli Toia won bronze in the same event.

Karan’s achievement marks the most impressive individual performance in athletics at the 2023 Pacific Games.
