Roy Krishna’s Odisha FC was held to a goalless draw by his former club Bengaluru in the Indian Super League today.
Both sides were evenly matched in a contest that saw a multitude of goal-line clearances and splendid saves, with goalkeepers Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and Amrinder Singh outdoing each other with moments of brilliance.
Krishna was heavily marked throughout the encounter and given very little space to launch some real threatening opportunities in front of the goal.
The result handed a big jolt to the Juggernauts and their hopes of clinching the League as they now have 36 points from 19 games (with 10 wins, six draws and three losses), five behind what the top-placed Mumbai City FC (41) has accumulated from the same number of matches.
On the other hand, Bengaluru FC is back in the top-six courtesy of the outcome of this match.
