Suva-based Ghanaian boxer Joseph Kwadjo will challenge holder Alivereti Kauyaca in the main bout of the Bluewater Promotions boxing event at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva in March.
While launching new promoter, Mohammed Samir Khan of Bluewater Promotions in Suva today, Boxing Commission of Fiji chair Adi Narayan said the event on 2 March will give boxing fans a night full of top level action as the best boxers in the country have been lined up to fight.
“This event will basically kick-start the 2024 season and we have some more exciting promotions coming up.”
“Having some of the top boxers in the Bluewater promotions will definitely raise the bar high and fans can surely expect quality fights.”
Narayan said the event will also have Winston Hill compete in the Super Middleweight category and his opponent will be confirmed later.
“We will go through our data and find the suitable opponent to fight Winston as we do not want a mismatch in this bout.”
Meanwhile the main supporting bout will feature Nathan Singh and promising Nadi youngster Mohammed Ali.
The event will have a total of eight professional bouts and two exhibition bouts.
The full line-up of boxers will be announced later.
