Local exporters participate in China Expo

Three Fiji based exporters are participating in the sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE) currently underway in Shanghai, China.

These include Pleass Global Limited, Frezco Beverages, and Zonah United

The CIIE, held annually, represents a significant opportunity for these companies to explore new business prospects and create enduring partnerships with Chinese customers.

Pleass Global Limited, renowned for being the bottlers of VaiWai and AquaSafe Natural Artesian water, is showcasing its premium product offerings at the sixth China International Import Expo.

It’s participation in this event will mark a pivotal moment in their pursuit of expansion into the Chinese market, aiming to deliver their exceptional products to a wider global audience.

Cate Pleass, Director of Pleass Global Limited, expressed her enthusiasm.

“We are truly excited to introduce our world-class natural artesian water to the Chinese market. This opportunity holds great promise for us, and we look forward to forging new partnerships and making a significant impact at the expo,” mentioned Pleass.

Another first-time participant in the CIIE, Frezco Beverages Fiji will showcase its range of beverages and explore avenues for expanding their presence in China – particularly for their Aqua Pacific premium natural artesian water and Fijian Noni product range.

“Participating in the China International Import Expo is a landmark moment for us. We are prepared to introduce our unique, high-quality beverages to the Chinese market and are confident that this event will open doors to exciting opportunities,” stated Jamal.

Local exporters Pleass Global Limited and Zonah United have been funded to participate in the CIIE 2023 as part of Investment Fiji’s strategic partnership with UNESCAP on Catalyzing Women’s Economic Entrepreneurship project.

Investment Fiji chief executive, Kamal Chetty emphasized on the global significance of the event and Fiji’s enthusiasm for participating in an expo that brings together exhibitors from around the world.

“The CIIE is a premier global trade event and an international platform for mutually beneficial cooperation. Fiji is excited to be part of this prestigious event, which offers a unique opportunity to connect with businesses from all corners of the globe. We are confident that this will be a significant milestone in strengthening trade relations between Fiji and China,” highlighted Chetty.
