Turaga Na Tui Namosi and retired politician Ratu Suliano Matanitobua has reintegrated into the society after serving his sentence in prison.
He was released earlier this month after serving 19 months.
Ratu Suliano had an emotional reunion with Prime Minister and former SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka at his official residence in Suva on Friday night.
Rabuka in a post on his social media account said he joins the vanua o Nabukebuke in celebration as Ratu Suliano resumes a normal life.
“Ratu Suliano is a respected leader and I support his vision for a developed and prosperous nation.”
Ratu Suliano inherited the traditional title of Turaga Na Tui Namosi at the young age of 22.
He served two terms as an Opposition Member of Parliament for SODELPA and announced his retirement from politics in July 2022.
Current Minister for Local Government and Housing, Maciu Nalumisa replaced him as the political representative for Namosi in the 2022 General Election.
