Nasoko to have better season: Byrne

Fijian Drua head coach Mick Byrne says outside back Kalione Nasoko will have a better 2023 season in Super Rugby, after being out all of last season to injury.

Byrne said that the Yasawa danger man had fully recovered from the anterior cruciate ligament surgery that saw him ruled out for the entirety of the 2022 season.

“Kali was pretty much disappointed in himself last season, he was out for the whole season,” Byrne said.

“He had a nasty injury and has had a big surgery.

“He’s back training,  and I am just looking forward to seeing him on the track.

“We keep a red bib on players we are keeping an eye on.

He’s had a red bib on all pre-season and I am looking forward to seeing that bib come off.” Byrne said.
