Play with pride, Drua women urged

His Excellency, the President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere has encouraged the Fijian Drua Women’s team to “play with pride and represent Fiji admirably” as they presented their i-tatau at the State House yesterday.

During the ceremony, the President praised the team for their outstanding performance last season and their role in elevating women’s rugby.

“Listen to your coaches and officials, as this is crucial for your performance on the field. Train diligently and always put God first in everything you do,” said the president.

The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua women will defend their Super W title against the Reds next week March 17, 2024 in Queensland, Australia.
