Rawaqa’s Rewa move rejected

Fiji Football Association has rejected Suva defender Kavaia Rawaqa’s request to rejoin Rewa in this player transfer window.

Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf said as passed in their recent council meeting in Lautoka, all players who change districts will have to stay with their new team for a period of 12 months.

This came into effect from 1 January, 2024.

He said under this, Rawaqa becomes ineligible for transfer as he has not served Suva for a year.

Fiji FA had also rejected Ravnesh Karan Singh, Meli Codro and Remueru Tekiata’s applications earlier as these players had valid contracts with Suva FA.
