Rewa out to prove O-League worthiness

Rewa Coach Roderick Singh says the Delta Tigers are determined to prove themselves worthy and show their capability as Fiji’s representatives in the OFC Champions League.

“We don’t want to be criticized here in the country and questioned by people if this is the team representing Fiji, we need to show the difference, we need to show people why is Rewa playing O-League,” said Singh.

Looking back at last week’s DFPL match where Rewa defeated Tailevu Naitasiri 5-1, Singh spoke highly about his team’s strong scoring ability.

“Sometimes I get frustrated when the boys don’t perform because I know there are players in the who can score, I know them well.”

“With performances like this we make statements and prove to people why we are in O-League,” he said.

Singh praised the contributions of younger players like Asivorosi Rabo, Dylan Shankar, and Neemish Prasad, who have shown they are up to the challenge of O-League competition.

Looking ahead, Singh is focused on continuing to build and refine the team’s performance.

“We will work on some areas but will mainly continue to build from here.”

Extra Supermarket sponsored Rewa will face Nasinu in its next encounter at 3pm on Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park.
