Sakuru is Youth and Sports Minister

The People’s Alliance candidate and former Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) Member of Parliament Jese Saukuru is the new Minister for Youth and Sports.

Saukuru was sworn in at the State House and congratulated by President, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere.

Saukuru, who hails from Naviyago village in Lautoka secured 2,759 votes in the 2022 General Election.

He was the shadow Minister for Regional Development and Disaster Management from 2018 till the Parliament dissolved ahead of the recent election.

Meanwhile, The People’s Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka has been elected as the Prime Minister of Fiji.
