A 54-year-old man died in a road accident in Savusavu last night.
Director Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana said the accident occurred at the junction of Levuka jroad in Savusavu after 10pm.
SSP Divuana said the victim was allegedly bumped by a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old man.
He said the driver allegedly lost control of his vehicle resulting in the unfortunate accident that allegedly claimed the life of the victim from Nabalebale in Savusavu.
The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
