Fiji finish fifth in Cape Town 7s

The Fiji 7s team finished in fifth place at the HSBC World Rugby Cape Town 7s after beating Argentina 29-5 today.

This was Fiji’s better finish from Dubai where they finished 9th last weekend.

Fiji was unrivaled throughout the contest and closed out the Argentinians to secure a 24-0 lead at the break.

Four tries were scored in the first half through Josua Vakurunabili, Manueli Maisamoa, Alasio Naduva and Filipe Sauturaga who also added two conversions.

Burly forward Paula Nayacakalou continued the spillover with another try at the start of the second half.

Argentina would find consolation points on the 15-minute mark after the buzzer through Simon Benitez Cruz, which was unconverted.
