Gymnastics Federation of Fiji’s Robyn Eastgate has received the Tappoo Young Female Athlete of the Year Award during the 2022 Fiji Sports Awards today.
The young gymnast has been a growing star in the relatively new sport of gymnastics in the country.
Eastgate won a gold award at the PGAA Gymnastics Virtual International competition against top competitors from the Asia region.
Eastgate had also assited the team in an Assistant Coach capacity directing team Fiji to winning seven gold awards and nine top six all-round finishes.
Eastgate has received expert training at FIG World Artistic Gymnastics Champion Carlos Yulo’s gym as well as Gymnastics World Cup and FIG judge Alena Ruis.
