Tanoa Group becomes official home of Drua

Prominent hotel group, Tanoa Hotels is now the official home of the Fijian Drua.

Tanoa Hotels and the Fijian Drua announced an exciting new partnership today for the next two years.

As part of the sponsorship, the Tanoa Hotels brand will be proudly represented on the playing jersey of the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women.

Tanoa Hotels will also be the home of the Drua Women for the duration of the 2024 Super Rugby Women’s competition.

Tanoa Group Director Rohit Reddy said: “The Tanoa Group is delighted to join the Fijian Drua vuvale and showcase our support for the rugby in Fiji. We have been the accommodation partner of choice for the Fijian Drua since their first Super Rugby Pacific campaign and are delighted to now become the Club’s official hotel and official home.”

He said while this is a first major sponsorship of the Tanoa Hotels, he is happy to share that their properties across Fiji have years of experience looking after various sports teams, including many national teams.

“We love the game, we love the players and we know how important the Drua Men and Women’s teams are for Fiji, which has made its mark on the global sporting map.”

“The Fijian Drua is now also a big player in Fiji tourism, with their matches and events contributing more than F$60m to the local economy. We applaud what the Fijian Drua has done to the local sports tourism landscape and for the launch of their exciting travel packages website druatravel.com, where Tanoa hotels will feature prominently.”

“The Tanoa Group itself is part of the fabric of Fiji tourism and will work together with the Drua to create new and exciting experiences for fans and customers alike.”

“With both the Men’s and Women’s seasons fast approaching, we can’t wait to welcome back players, officials and fans across our various properties,” he added.

Drua chief executive Mark Evans welcomed the Tanoa Hotel Group to the Drua vuvale: “At the outset, I must acknowledge on behalf of the Fijian Drua, the loss of the founder of Tanoa Hotels, the late Mr. Y.P. Reddy. He was an industry icon across Fiji and the South Pacific, and we extend our deepest condolences to the Reddy family and Tanoa Group for his loss.”

“The late Mr. Reddy, in creating Tanoa Hotels, established a trailblazing brand which has become a favourite with local customers and visitors alike. I know for a fact that many international teams absolutely love staying at Tanoa Hotels, and the Fijian Drua is no exception.”

“We really feel at home here, whether it’s the Tanoa International, Tanoa Plaza, Tanoa Waterfront or Tanoa Rakiraki. So we are really delighted to officially call Tanoa our Official Hotel and Official Home.”

Evans added: “The Women’s team got into their Tanoa home this week for the 2024 Super Rugby Women’s season. The proximity to the Drua High Performance gym and our Fiji Airways Field makes this is perfect fit for the women’s team as they aim for a historic three-peat title win.”

“We look forward to working with Tanoa Hotels to add value to this wonderful partnership, and asking that our fans, friends and well-wishers make Tanoa their first choice when it comes to choosing their accommodation.”
