Chua details defensive prep for Olympic qualifiers

Fiji Kulas head coach Angeline Chua has pinpointed defence as the team’s primary focus for the Olympic Qualifiers 2024 in Samoa.

Speaking to FijiLive in a press session from Samoa, Chua detailed their defensive preparations.

“I think one thing we have been working on is our defence. In order to win the game first, we cannot concede any goals. So that was one of the key things that we have been working on for the past four weeks,” said Chua.

She adds that the final lineup will be announced shortly before the game, based on player performances.

The Kulas team includes a mix of experienced and young talents, encompassing U-16, U-19, and senior players.

Additionally, three seasoned former national representatives, who played in Australia last season, have rejoined the squad to strengthen the team further.

The Digicel Fiji Kulas face American Samoa tomorrow in their opening match at 11am.
