The OFC/Fiji FA Basic Futsal Referees Course, aimed at enhancing the skills of western referees in futsal, kicked off yesterday at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba.
The three-day event, led by OFC Futsal Instructor Jainud Dean, has drawn 19 participants, including two females.
“This is course is for the western referees who want to further their career in futsal refereeing,”
“The course is designed to focus on knowledge of the FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game and the practical referee skills required to officiate a game of Futsal,” said Dean.
Participants are expected to complete a mix of theoretical and practical exams, with the course also offering insights into the Futsal Referee development pathway.
The course is set to conclude on February 11th.
