Rain Warning downgraded to Alert

A Heavy Rain Warning previously in force for the whole of Fiji group has now been
downgraded to a Heavy Rain Alert.

A Flood Warning that was in force for low-lying and flood-prone areas adjacent and downstream of Wainibuka, Wainimala, Waimanu, Waimaro, Waidalece, Wainivesi and
Waibula Rivers have been canceled while the Flash Flood Warning that was in force for all flash flood-prone areas of Fiji has been Downgraded to a Flash Flood Alert.

The Nadi Weather Office in its latest bulletin says the trough of low pressure that was affecting Fiji Group has weakened and lies to the north of the Group while another active trough of low pressure associated with tropical depression, TD05F, is expected to approach the group from the west on Monday.

A Strong Wind Warning remains in force for Yasawa, Lau and Lomaiviti Groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, and southwest and eastern Viti Levu (areas stretching from Sigatoka to Rakiraki) and a Strong Wind Warning remains in force for all Fiji waters.
