Sale Sharks to sign Nayacalevu

Sale Sharks are reportedly negotiating with Flying Fijian captain Waisea Nayacalevu to  potentially replace Manu Tuilagi next season.

It is reported by Telegraph Sport that Samoan born Tuilagi will depart from Sale this summer due to salary cap constraints, making it challenging for the club to afford his wages.

Nayacalevu is believed to have received an offer from Sale Sharks for a one-year contract, with the possibility of extending for an additional season, and the deal is expected to be at a lower salary compared to what Tuilagi was earning.

The 33 year old has recently spent two years playing for Toulon, following a decade-long tenure at Stade Français, where he participated in 200 matches.
