4 Nations Cup cancelled, Fiji to face Solo Is twice

The 4 Nations Cup which was to be played in Honiara, Solomon Islands next week has been downgraded to a two-match March FIFA Window international friendly between Fiji and host nation, the Solomon Islands.

This comes after Tahiti and New Caledonia opted to pull out from the event.

The Digicel Bula Boys will face the Solomon Islands in the first match on Monday and the second and final friendly will take place on Thursday.

The Solomon Islands are currently the second placed team in the FIFA Ranking in Oceania, behind New Zealand with a 133 ranking while Fiji is ranked sixth in the region with a ranking of 168.

Result of the two matches will help improve the ranking of both nations.
