Drua Women focus on better execution

Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s Head Coach Mosese Rauluni is concentrating on improving ball handling skills of the team as they prepare to face the Rebels in Melbourne on Saturday.

Speaking on the team’s previous encounter against the Brumbies, Rauluni pointed out the need for better execution within the opponent’s territory.

“Last weekend against the Brumbies, we had 14 entries in their 22 and only executed 4 times. The other times we dropped the ball, so we got to hold on and be more patient with the ball,” he explained.

The focus for the Drua Women has been on refining their approach when in the green zone, aiming to maintain pressure on the opposition.

“That’s what we talked about this week, just handling the ball better when we enter their green zone and putting the pressure on the opposition team. We didn’t do that well against the Brumbies, we did win but that’s a big work on for us: Entering the 22 and being patient with the ball.”

Fijian Drua women take on Melbourne Rebels at 7.05pm.
