Fiji Warriors beaten in Pacific Challenge

The Senirusi Seruvakula coached Fiji Warriors suffered a 45-43 narrow defeat to Japan XV in their second match of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge in Samoa today.

After an impressive victory over Tonga last week, the Fijians were favorites to win this clash but the Japanese held their own and piled up points to lead 33-19 at halftime.

The John Muller captained side came out stronger in the second spell and put on a gallant fight, only to face a defeat by two points.

The Rooster Chicken Fiji Warriors will face host Manuma Samoa in their next match on Saturday.
