Trouble brews in Suva camp

All is not well in the Suva camp following the team’s recent performances in the Digicel Fiji Premier League.

After yesterday’s 5-2 loss to Nadroga, some players and one of the coaches, Inosi Cawa have vented out their frustration on social media while many fans have also posted negatively on the official Suva FA page.

Cawa in his post stated,” As long as Imtiyaz Khan is President for Suva..Suva will never win.”

He claimed Khan is President, Coach and wants to run all affairs of the team.

“The dedication from the players will be a waste reason being the dirt the President is doing.”

While apologising to the fans for the performance of the team yesterday, Cawa said the President should answer all questions as from the time the team is losing, Khan has been naming the 18 member team without consulting him or Pita Rabo.

“It is very disappointing and childish the way President or should I say Imtiyaz, no use to call him President reason being when we went to Sigatoka with Kavaia who is a great defender and he still didn’t consider him to be in the team. Imtiyaz has to be blamed for all the goals from Nadroga for he was taking the senior players out and replacing them with youth players.”

Some players also expressed their disappointment about how things were managed.

Flick Suva is currently sitting on eighth spot in the DFPL standing with 5 points after seven rounds.

Meanwhile, Khan is expected to hold a briefing this afternoon.
