Ba targets recovery in Nadroga clash

Ba Football Association Interim President Azam Ali has opened up about the team’s recent hurdles, including disrupted training sessions due to flooding during the 3 week DFPL break.

“Our training during the break sadly didn’t go according to plan, with floods causing havoc,” said Ali.

“Despite the bad weather, we managed to organize gym sessions for the boys who were available.”

With the team back to regular training this week under Coach Daniel Krishneel, there’s a renewed focus on their upcoming match.

“We returned to training this week, and the team had a good session with our Coach Daniel Krishneel. We know playing Nadroga at home will be tough in their current form.”

The team faces additional challenges with three key players out.

Kalaveti Sivoi got a red card in Round 4 of the DFPL match against Navua, Peceli Sukabula is out with a suspension (Double Yellow), while, Goalkeeper Atunaisa Naucukidi is carrying injuries

The team also plans to assess players who participated in Easter tournaments for any injuries.

Currently, Ba stands third in the DFPL standings with 7 points, while Nadroga is in fifth place with 5 points

The Men in Black are set to face Nadroga Stallions at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka at 1pm this Sunday in Round 5 of DFPL.
