Blues without a coach, senior reps take charge

Lautoka Football Association President Shalendra Prasad has confirmed the team is currently without a coach and senior players and team officials have stepped in to play the mentoring role in the meantime.

Prasad told FijiLive that following last month’s executives meeting, they told Babs Khan to step down for some time till they sort out some issues in the team.

“There is no coach with the team at the moment,” he said.

“The assistant coach, team manager, and the executives, with the help of senior players, are running the show.”

This interim arrangement is set to continue into the upcoming weekend, where Lautoka will face their rivals Ba at the Fiji FA Academy in Nomosau at 1pm on Sunday.
