Fijiana bounces back, beats South Africa

The Fijiana 7s side kept its quarterfinal hopes alive after outclassing South Africa 24-7 in their second pool match of the Hong Kong 7s tonight.

Verenaisi Bari, Raijieli Daveua and Ilisapeci Delaiwau’s tries coupled with two Ana Maria Naimasi conversions saw Fijiana lead 19-0 at the break.

South Africa pulled one back early in the second half but Captain Daveua’s beautiful try off some good work in a turnover sealed the deal for the Fijians.

Fijiana will face Ireland in its final pool match at 3.01pm tomorrow.
