Digicel Kulas and Ba striker Koleta Likuculacula is anticipating a tough Women’s Super League in the new season as the competition expands and will feature eight districts.
With the inclusion of Nadi and Navua, Likuculacula believes the women-in-black will need to lift up their performance ahead of next year.
“This year’s League was tough for us and we did not perform to that level. Our IDC win is motivating the Ba girls to put on a better performance at the start of the next year.”
“We are not expecting anything less next season and I really think 8 teams will tighten the competition and every team will be tough to beat.”
“We have played Nadi and Navua in the tournament and we know that they will come different in the league.”
“It’s different playing in league and tournament because tournaments we just play in a few days but like league, we have to be at our best form and have to be really strong playing week in and out.”
“Most of our girls are students while some of us are working and it’s tough to train together. At times we lacked fitness in our game and we want to work around that so we enter the league as a strong team.”
