Manurewa extend Shah, Nabeel contract

New Zealand’s Manurewa AFC which recently qualified in the Northern League has extended the contract of Fiji-born striker Mohammed Muzakkir Nabeel and midfielder Ishtiyaq Shah.

Nabeel who originates from Vunisamaloa in Ba featured for his home district at the Courts Inter District Championship (IDC) before both he and Shah featured for the men-in-black and helped the side win the 2022 Pacific Community Cup in Nadi in November.

Earlier in August last year, Shah also featured for New Zealand at the 2022 Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and America (FANCA) Nations Cup which was held in Fiji in Nadi also.

Manurewa AFC in a statement said the duo was a massive part of the side’s success last season and the team management is delighted to have both young men back for this season.
