Choice of voters will shape Fiji: NFP

Fijian voters will have to choose between democracy and dictatorship during the 2022 General Election on 14 December, says National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad.

He made these remarks at the launch of the Party’s Vision Document earlier today.

Prof Prasad said if the FijiFirst wins again, they will pass more laws to control the people.

“They will attack the free media, they will pay themselves bigger salaries and allowance and they will get Fiji into more debt.”

“These people cannot solve our problem; they have run out of ideas.”

“This is the Party that tells us ‘We are the change’; Even on their billboards they lie.”

“So what will be different about the leadership of a People’s Alliance and the National Federation Government – the answer is everything,” Prof Prasad said.

He said that they will do it differently.

“We will bring talents and experience of all Fiji’s people. No Government, a person or a leader has all the answers, but FijiFirst pretends that it does.”

“Meaningful solutions are found through listening to our people, we must listen and learn.”

“Fiji cannot change until we change our leadership and that is our first priority,” he added.

The NFP Vision Statement is not a manifesto, due to the fact that last year Government had changed the law.

“We can only make so-called financial commitments under strict laws,” Prof Prasad said.
