Police officer investigated over alleged rape

A team from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters has been tasked to investigate a case of alleged rape involving a Police officer.

The victim is also a Police officer and the alleged incident occurred in the weekend.

The matter was reported at the Lautoka Police Station.

Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew has directed that the suspect be interdicted with half pay, and his uniforms and Police accessories seized, until the completion of the investigation.
