Rabaleira acknowledges sacrifice of parents

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School’s Resina Rabaleira won Best Overall Female Athlete at the 2024 Coca-Cola Fiji Finals.

The 14-year-old won three gold medals in the 800m, 1500m, and the 4 x 400m relay.

She was also named best sub junior girls athlete.

Rabaleira appreciated her parents’ sacrifices and thanked them for their encouragement throughout her journey.

“I feel happy for this award, I thank my family for cheering and supporting me from home and also thank all my supporters and friends.”

“My parents have done a lot for me, It was very hard for them but they worked hard to provide everything I needed,” she shared with tears in her eyes.

She also thanked MGM management who stepped in to support and sponsor her.
