Midfielder Edwin Sahayam is relishing his debut for Lautoka and looks forward to a fruitful season with the Blues.
Speaking to FijiLive, the former Labasa rep said he was wholeheartedly welcomed in the Lautoka team by the players and officials.
“I want to thank the Lautoka team for accepting me as a family member.”
He described the OFC Champions League qualifier match against Rewa yesterday as challenging, particularly due to the heat, but noted that both teams performed well, with the game ending in a draw.
“We managed to control the first half, and in the second half, both teams were equally good,”
As Lautoka prepares for their upcoming match against Rewa this Sunday, Sahayam emphasized the importance of regrouping and strategizing.
“We’ll go back to the drawing board and see what we can do, and plan for the game against Rewa,” he said.
